Hibernate in my ground
Rich soil in your nose
Cloaked in fur
Curl up forever
Please don't stir
Warmth under my layers
Loaned loam blankets bundled
Overhead frost covers ground
And snow falls soundlessly
Down
Dark eyes watching
Please don't stir
An entrance small
A hole for sure
I am holding
Away the cold and shivers
Away the teeth
Away the breathe and words and schemes and hurts
I am earth
Please don't stir
Precious curled up tiny thing
Twitching nose
And gently rising purr
Holding you so closely
I am holding you so closely and so firm
I want you to stay wholly in the earth
Hibernate
Don't venture from this birth
I grow as you do but I cannot move
I grow as you grow but I cannot go
When cold melts you uncurl and shake your pelt
Stretch your feet and mind
Ready to leap
Please, don't stir
I saw the dark eyes watching
An entrance small
A hole for sure
Don't leave my earth
Just because it's warm
Does not ensure
You do stir
You make scratching sounds
And raise yourself to sight
And all eyes seek to satiate your light
I cannot move, I cannot go
You come back ever slow
I caution, I caress, and I cajole
Earth colognes like home
Rich soil in your nose
Saying please don't stir
But less and less and less
I find you curled
